Nsibidi is a pictogram language that was introduced during the 5th century. It is composed of around 1000 pictograms which were drawn on the ground, the skin, masks and textile or as an artistic expression. This dedicated Sarong Collection is paying tribute to this beautiful cultural heritage.
The ASARI sarongs are a tribute to the beauty of the Atlantic Ocean and its rich fauna and flora, all under the powerful Nsibidi love symbol. A call to all humans to protect the diversity of our beautiful planet. Water is an important element in the this design.
The sarong is very versatile and multi-purposed. It’s clothing, it’s a blanket, it’s a towel, it’s a privacy screen, a swim cover up, a bed sheet, a baby blanket, a scarf, a ceremonial dress, a beach blanket, home decor and so on!

Fringed by hand on the short sides.
Sold with a bag, 100% natural raw cotton gabardine with an embroidery on the front and a rope in 100% cotton.
We recommend hand or machine wash at 30 degrees, with gentle detergent.
